![]() ![]() Nothing I have found remotely matches my problem. I have searched these forums, and Google. grounding issue? Also, was told by a friend that I should use a different key to start it, as it could be the chip in the key thats faulty? Im going to try that tomrorow when I go get the car. I dont believe it to be a battery because why would it start sometimes, and not others? Wouldnt I always have the issue? There is no drain in the electrics, and everything functions as it should. So, its currently getting a new battery, even though I really dont think thats it. Went to the mechanic, got in the car, and of course, didnt start. Other potential causes of flickering dash lights when your car won’t start include: Bad battery due to a failed. In this scenario, you’ll likely need to replace the failed battery. He called me back today saying he couldnt find anything wrong with it, and suggested I bring it to Cadillac. If the car won’t start at all and the dashboard lights are flickering, it’s likely that the battery does not have enough charge to crank over the vehicle. I got it down to the mechanic for a diagnostic. This past Friday, I go outside to prepare the car to be towed, and of course, it starts right up. I shut it off, and planned to have the car towed on my day off to the mechanic. Next day, I went outside, and again, it doesnt start. 35 mins in, I figure, what the heck, let me give it one more try. With noone around, I called the local tow company. Did this for about 10 mins, scratching my head. Everything lit up, gauges moved, radio turned on, but no sound from the engine. Around an hour later, I came out, to the beginning of my current bad dream. Two weeks ago, I drove the car to a strip mall for dinner, and parked. The car has been riding great, and I have had no issues with anything electrical in the car (windows, seats, nav, etc). Besides some normal brake work, and a bad engine sensor, he gave it the thumbs up. When I purchased the car, I brought it down to my local mechanic to give it the once over. I have an interesting problem, and I hope someone can assist me with it. Im new to the forum, and am a recent buyer of a 2007 DTS.
